we’re building something different – the hopsctch manifesto

Hopsctch was born from the idea that if given free will and the power to design, we can build a creative utopia. Truth is, the world doesn’t need another marketing or design agency, it needs a fresh, new way to approach design that goes beyond the conventional and serves the partner while creating a positive impact in the communities they serve.

We’re a young, driven, passionate group of creative troublemakers who always strive to view design through a community-focused lens. We’ve reached a point where we will always choose to do good, and only work with people, organizations, and businesses that have genuine intentions to better their communities and do the right thing.

In a world where ‘doing the right thing’ is often seen as the harder path, we’re proud to be underdogs committed to that principle.

Hopsctch is our stance in creative utopia. We plan to grow this and build together purposely in the San Diego Tijuana region, we hope you can join us.

Meet the Founders Ella & Emir

Ella and Emir met in 2022, when Ella put out an open call for a Graphic Design Intern for San Diego Startup Week. Through a simple Instagram story, and a couple of interviews later, they met, and haven’t looked back since.

Most recently they supported the World Design Capital during the World Design Festival 2024 that brought over 7,000 community members together for a weeklong celebration in San Diego Tijuana.
  • Emir Taheri – Emir is a design professional in the AEC industry, blending a background in Architecture with a passion for graphic design. An active member of the San Diego Architectural Foundation and the American Society of Professional Estimators, Emir is dedicated to advancing architecture and construction, with a unique focus on integrating graphic design.

What’s Next for Hopsctch?

“Poco a poco,” or “little by little,” we want to work with brands that are doing good for the community. Whether it be non-profits, innovation leaders, startup founders, or budding entrepreneurs, if you have a mission we want to support you on getting it out to the world. We also want to partner with mission-aligned organizations that offer other digital services and build community partnerships, we know that collaboration is key and community over all.
